Trip to the Philippines: Manila; SM Mall of Asia, Manila Ocean Park (Part 2)

SM Mall of Asia

The first place I went to was Mall of Asia, or MOA for short.  MOA is the 11th largest shopping mall in the world.  It's huge!  It has tons of stores and restaurants that you would find in the US, also they have an IMAX theater, bowling, billiards, and even an iceskating rink all inside the mall!  Click [here] for the mall map and [here] for the malls website.

Hello Kitty had a promo in each of the SM malls in the Philippines!  They had life size displays of Hello Kitty towns in each of the SM branches!  This was one of the displays at MOA!  Super cute!

SM Mall of Asia has a huge dome that lights up and since I went during the holidays the entire mall was decorated with beautiful twinkling lights!  Here's a quick video that I posted on instagram (vanessajhoy) at SM Mall of Asia.  On the top left I was eating Halo Halo, which is a filipino dessert.  It's so good! Click [here] for more information about Halo Halo.

Manila Ocean Park

The second place I went to in Manila was Manila Ocean Park.  Manila Ocean Park is a marine theme park and aquarium that has a lot of interactive activities and attractions for families!  There are certain packages that can be purchased.  I purchased the P900 Pacific Sky Wonder package that have 9 attractions.  Some of the attractions occur at certain times therefore the front desk gave us an itinerary to follow.  Please click [here] for Manila Ocean's Park website and [here] for the different ticket packages.

This is the outfit that I wore to Manila Ocean Park! I kept it very comfortable, I wore a hot pink and neon green "Keep Calm and Stache On" tee, black leggings and my old pair of nikes.  I also kept my hair braided to keep it out of my face.

Here's a quick video at the Manila Ocean Park.  On the top right I'm in the famous oceanarium, click [here] for more info, and on the bottom right is a clip of the cute penguins at the Trails to Antarctica [here]!

Jellies Exhibit
First exhibit I went to was the Jellies Exhibit.  The exhibit is quite small and one of the rooms trick you because the walls are mirrored but non the less I really enjoyed seeing the jellyfish!  Great to take photos with!

Marine Life Habitat Show
This was one my favorite attractions!  The sea lions were so cute and they were extremely smart.  I was definitely entertained.  It's an outside attraction and it over looks the Manila Bay.  I took a picture before the show because I didn't want to be rude talking pictures during the show.  Must see attraction!

Birds of Prey Kingdom
I'll be honest, I am scared of birds especially big ones.  It was really neat but I didn't want to stay there very long.  I couldn't take a picture with a real bird either so I decided to stand next to this statue. haha

The gift shop for the Birds of Prey Kingdom was awesome!
Look at these adorable owls!  So cool!

Look at the size of this snail! It's huge!

Kind of a hard picture to take because of the lighting, but this was overlooking the Manila Bay!

Beautiful!  This is what Manila Ocean Park is famous for, great scene.  Loved everything about it, you'll be in awe of all the amazing fish and unique architecture.

Fish Spa
They had a fish spa at Manila Ocean Park.  It was my first time trying it and takes a while to get used to.  It tickles but doesn't hurt!

Trails to Antarctica!
If you have never experienced the cold or snow.
I definitely suggest going to the ice room.
I found it kind of comical because we have snow back home, however
I thought it was neat theme to add this to the park!
If you love penguins you will also be able to see them there!

Sharks and Rays Encounter- Aquanaut
My favorite and ultimate attraction!  I was fortunate enough to experience this and I am so blessed.  I get to swim inside the oceanarium and it was a once in a lifetime thing!  It's so cool!  I loved every moment of it!  It wasn't scary but I felt a lot of pressure in the ears so I had to pop it throughout the swim.  I also felt very special because everyone in the Oceanarium was waving at me.  If you plan to go to Manila Ocean Park, save up and do the Aquanaut!  It's worth it!  For more info click [here].

Overall I had an amazing time.  If you plan on going to the Philippines and plan on staying in Manila, please go to Mall of Asia and Manila Ocean Park.  These are the best attractions in the area!
