DIY Travel Fund (Money Jar)

Hey everyone!  I've been currently obsessed with DIY and saving money.  What better way to combine the two by doing a DIY Money Jar!  I was inspired by my current need for travel, and decided to create a Travel Jar in a fun and unique way.  The best part is, I used supplies that I already own!

What you need!
-Empty Jar,  I used a tomato sauce jar, feel free to use any jar of your own, even candle jars will work!
-Scissors to cut things with
-Glue gun to paste things with
-Modge Pogdge to paste things with and to seal with
-Bows, Pony beads, Photos, or anything else you want to use to decorate with
-Money!  To put in your jar :)

I love this beach theme photo from The Washington Post.  So beautiful!

Work space :)

This will never show when money is inside the jar, but I decided to add this photo anyways for an extra touch.

It's pony bead time!

Unfortunately the footage where I made the bow got lost, but I love how it adds a hint of girliness to this blue/green/yellow jar.

Have you ever noticed that the face of President Abraham Lincoln faces towards the right while all of the other faces on different coins face the left? Weird huh?  If you don't believe me pull out a penny, quarter, dime, and nickel and tell me what you find!

If you want to save more money quicker, add some paper money into your jar.

Feel free to change things up and make it your own.  The beauty about DIY is you can change it to your own personal style.  If you don't want to save for travel, that's fine!  Go ahead and set up your Money Jar to your personal needs.

If you have anymore additional questions please let me know!

And if you happen to have a Money Jar of your own or if you created one, please share it to me by using the #DIYwithJhoy I will be more than happy to link your post onto my blog!

Have a wonderful day and until next time!
