Gettysburg, Pennsylvania (Pic Heavy)

Hello Everyone!  Today I wanted to share with you my trip to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.  This was my first time going and I definitely suggest this trip to those who are historic enthusiasts, and those who enjoy nature.  I loved it!

The Battle of Gettysburg and President Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address was named after this town.
This is me standing in from of Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center.  For more information about the museum, and ticket pricing, please click [here].  To comfortably view the museum and browse the gift-shop, you approximately will take an hour and a half.  I would suggest going to the museum and visitor center first.  Eat lunch.  Then continue on with the Auto Tour.

Statue of President Abraham Lincoln.  Super awesome!

Auto Tour
I also went on the self guiding auto tour.  For more information and a copy of the map, please click [here].  It will probably take approximately 2 hours or more to tour the area and take pics.

I drove up the hill.  The little castle on the right hand side will be the view in the next photo.

This photo is taken on the little castle in the previous photo.  What a view!

The stone work is absolutely beautiful.

I can't get over the view!

There are so many things to read and look at.

Epic statue on the highest part of the hill.

Look at the size of this rock!

I absolutely love the view.  It's definitely worth it.

Another view of the same statue from earlier.

Love this.

Gettysburg cannons.

My favorite photo.

Another view with the cannons in front.  You can also go to the top.  Do you see the people at the top? They look so tiny!

Gettysburg Town
Aside from the touristy spots.  I also went downtown Gettysburg.  Here are some photos of the area.

Going back home, the scenery is perfect.

Overall I had a wonderful time.  Everything at Gettysburg was beautiful and it still boggles me, how much history occurred at that place.  I would suggest going to this place if you appreciate history and nature.  To learn more information about Gettysburg, Pennsylvania please click [here].
