"Perfect Pink" Brush Set Review

I purchased this brush set mainly because it was pink, but also because I've never owned a "brush set" before. This was my first brush set purchase! Super Exciting! ^_^

FYI all brushes are dirty, I just used them >_<

Blush Brush- love love love! Very soft good quality!
Fan Brush- the one in this set I wasn't fond of, the brush kept on shedding and I only use it when I'm brushing away fall-out. I would of preferred a foundation brush in this set!
Powder Brush- a lot smaller than expected, the add photo looks a lot bigger and fluffier but it applies powder well, an average brush.

Concealer Brush- love it! extremely soft, out of all the brushes this one has definitely the best quality! Very easy to work with!
Medium Blending Brush- this is my favorite brush, love that it's tapered and it makes it really easy to blend out harsh lines!
Medium Eyeshadow Brush- average, nothing to special about it.

Small Eyeshadow Brush- very useful, I love using this on my lower lashline! Especially when a bright color is applied!
Lip Brush- nothing to special about it, I only used it once, not really on my everyday use list.
Angled Eyeliner Brush- another one of my favorite brushes, it's sturdy but not too stiff where it tugs on the eyelids, gives a nice precise line
Dual-Sided Brow Brush and Lash Comb- I use this everyday! really helps me tame and shape my unruly brows, I also use the lash comb when I see clumps on my lashes!

This brush set has flaps for each section to protect the brushes.

It's also great for travel! It's as big as my current wallet and I keep both in my purse everyday!

Overall I adore this brush set and I'm so happy that I purchased it at Sephora! I didn't want to spend too much on my first brush set and this was in my price range! I love the soft pink color, the quality of most of the brushes, and the cute travel friendly roll it came with! I keep it in my purse at all times, and whenever I need a re-touch, I have all that I need!

This brush set could have been perfect if they had included a foundation brush :( I would of traded the fan brush with the foundation brush in a heartbeat! Now I'm on a hunt for a foundation and kabuki brush. I might even invest on a set that I can keep at home and just use this one for travel :)

Black and Gray

Funny Story: So I went to Claire's expecting to buy a cheap pair of earrings, and what did I end up buying? A pair of boots and some hats for less than $20. I know what your thinking...

whaaaaat? o_0... I know right!

This hat is called the "Big City Chunky Cabbie Hat" I bought one in black and the other in gray, hence and B&W artistic photos ^_^ On sale for $4!

The Gray Chunky Cabbie Hat is also $4, and it's honestly great quality! Doesn't feel cheap, doesn't smell cheap, and most importantly it's soft and warm!

The boots: I can't find on their website it's probably sold out, but these were on sale for $8!
Unfortunately they only had them in size 8 and I wear a 6½ to 7, but I bought them anyways lol.
I only wore them once, they are super cute but super big! I'll probably give them away.

I love the shape of the boots, the gray color, and the distressed look! It gives out a very edgy tough girl feel :)
They also look exactly like Steve Madden's Turbow boots, if not better! The Turbow's are retailing for $129.95

FOTD: Feeling Gloomy

Ever had one of those days, where you just look outside and the weather is terrible?! Well today in the DMV area it's dark, gloomy, and uneventful! This "face of the day" was inspired by the cold weather, gray skies, and dusts of snow!

I wanted the look to be smokey but wearable. Plummy eyeshadow to represent the gloomy skies, and
specks of shimmer to represent snow.

Princess Mimi Apple Green Lens

What? A circle lens review?! Not necessarily... I deleted my old blog because I lost interest into doing circle lens reviews, but I still wear them on a daily basis, and will continue writing an occasional blog post concerning them once in a while ^_^

Princess Mimi Apple Green Lens, One of the most popular colors of the Tsubasa Bambi Series!

The lens look amazing in photos! (All photos taken with flash)

Matches perfectly with my green shirt and and my hair bun! Lol

Overall these lens are extremely dolly, very comfortable, and will match with any type of skin tone. I love this particular shade of green! Keep in mind these lens are far from natural and blends better when makeup is applied.

Face of the day: Purple Fever

Hello everyone, today's FOTD is inspired by my new purple dress that I recently purchased from lacoste.com, they are currently having their semi-annual sale so I figured I would order some few items. The dress is available in 5 different colors, but I decided to go with purple since it is my favorite color ^_^

I love how the purple eyeliner matches the dress perfectly!

Eyes

- Color Theory purple palette (CVS brand) I was not to fond of the color payout of these shadows, the constancy was extremely chalky and lots of fallout! But then again I wasn't expecting much in terms of quality obviously, even with eye primer the colors barely showed up! >_<

-Black Radiance Continuous Creme Eyeliner- my favorite black eyeliner for the upper eyelid ATM

-Physicians Formula Eyeliner in purple, this is in their shimmer strips line for brown eyes for their custom eye enhancing eyeliner trio, comes with purple, brown, and black. I <3 <3 <3 the color of the purple eyeliner! Super creamy easy, apply, and the color is so beautiful!

Lips

-Revlon Color Burst lip butter in 001 Pink Truffle, the color is very pretty and matches my natural lip color, the constancy is very smooth. The only thing I don't like about this product is that it stains my teeth and the product goes all over the lip tube when pushed up and down, other than that good product!

Cheeks

- LORAC's Lip/Cheek IT kit in Sugar 'N Spice, Cream base is for the lips, powder base is for the cheeks, I only use the powder base product, has a bit of shimmer but gives out a very beautiful natural glow ^_-

What's your favorite color, and why?

-My favorite color is Purple; light purple or lilac to be precise! When I was young, I use to like baby pink and baby blue, I could't decide which one I liked more. When I started grade school I learned that colors were achieved by mixing other colors together, then I realized that I could combine the 2!

Pink+Blue=Pretty Purple :)

Face of the day: Simple Black Liner

Hello everyone! On the days where I'm feeling super lazy and super boring, I usually just apply eyeliner and nothing else. I love really dark black eyeliner because it really makes the eyes pop out and draws a lot of attention. Along with my black lens I can look either extremely serious or extremely scary =P

black eyeliner alone brings out an intense amount of boldness to my eyes

My favorite gel liner at the moment, that I use for my upper lash line, is Black Radiance Continuous Creme eyeliner, and my favorite black eye liner pencil is from Physicians Formula, both can be purchased at your local drugstore

Hello Kitty Shimmering Powder and Eyeshadow Palette Review

Today's review is on the adorable Hello Kitty shimmering powder and eyeshadow palette! The packaging is so cute! Love it! It is also very sturdy too! I've already dropped it a couple of times and the powder and the eyeshadows did not shatter! Whew!

So cute! >^.^<

Even though all the shadows are shimery, it can still pull off a natural look! Lens worn XCK-105 by Geo

The bottom stack is the eyeshadow and the top stack is the shimmering powder with the mirror

Love the mix of metals! (silver and gold) <3

My two favorite eyeshadows are the bronze brown and the highlight color!

The shimmering powder is okay, the color tends to look a bit chalky with my skin tone, and unfortunately
the cute accent hello kitty bow is only good on the first layer, once you use the powder it goes away :(

Full Face :) the flash washed away most of the color though D:

Pros: Most adorable packaging ever!!! Compact size, easy for travel, good sized mirror, sturdy, colors show up beautifully!

Cons: Lots of fallout that wastes a lot of product, needs to be applied with primer or a wet brush! :(

I'm looking on Sephora's site they have lowered the price to $20! Yippee!

I would definitely recommend this to a hello kitty lover!

Couture Couture Perfume Review

Hey everyone, today I just wanted to review a recent perfume I've been using lately. It is Juicy Couture's "Couture Couture" perfume :)

It has very flashy packaging!

I'm not a fan of the huge crown on the cap, a little too over the top for my taste.

The zipper detail on the other hand, with the charms is really cute! Love it!

Overall in my opinion, I think this perfume smells slightly granny-ish, but, when worn throughout the day it starts to smell really good! I'm not attracted to the huge crown on top and also the yellow pee color of the perfume, it looks nasty lol. Would I get another one? Probably not but it is a perfect room decor item ;P

2012 Resolutions!

One of my favorite things about the new year is setting goals. Goals that I look back on, from time to time to remind myself that I have purpose in life. Today I wanted to share my individual goals for self improvement for this year ^_^

2012 RESOLUTIONS

Spend more time with family and friends- I often forget how blessed I am to have a wonderful family and awesome friends. I don't want to get you for granted this year but cherish every single moment with you and make unforgettable memories!
Be fit and healthy- This is the most common one that I bet is on 99.9% of everyone's personal list. Theres nothing wrong with trying to look better, it gives us all self esteem and motivation!
Get more sleep- I never sleep, I only get 4 hours of sleep each day especially on weekdays! T_T My goal for this year is to at least get 6 hours of sleep each day if not 8! I will definitely show more improvement to my skin and weight, and it will also help me focus more throughout the day instead of being tired all the time!
EnJhoy life more- Live life to it's fullest! Have no regrets! Have fun and enJhoy life while we still have it! If theres something you want to do, just do it! You should not have anyone not tell you otherwise!
Stay positive- No matter what happens in life, no matter how much drama and how much haters we get, forget them! They are either insecure or jealous! Just wish them a good day and move on with your life!
Update blog- I really love blogging, so my goal is to continue blogging for this year and express myself :)
Save money- There are other things that we must all take into account to aside from material things, though I love shopping, I plan on buying things that are a necessity, Of course it's okay to splurge on things once in a while especially if you took the time and effort to save your money on it. But other than that, here's my "go to chart" whenever I go to the mall. LOL. Im such a genius

8. Learn something new- We learn something new everyday, I love knowledge, it makes you grow
smarter, stronger, and wiser, and we all could use some of that!

Well those are my top 8 new years resolutions for 2012! I hope you enjoy reading it, and hopefully I've inspired you to make some resolutions on your own, if your not ready for year long commitment, that's completely fine, start on smaller goals for example, "I will not eat chocolate for 1 whole week" or "I plan to sleep before 11pm every night" no matter how small the goal is, it's one step closer to a better you! ;]
